Our board of directors is comprised of a dynamic group of professionals who are passionate about the ProAct’s mission. They actively commit the time, talent, and resources necessary to influence the lives of Indiana’s future leaders who are equipped with the 21st-Century Skills to adapt and improve upon the modern work environment.
Joining Jeb Banner, Audrey Ballard, Bob Kort, Bob Millard, and Alaric Aloor are Mary Ann Sullivan and Elizabeth Vincent. Read about their impressive careers below.

Mary Ann Sullivan

Mary Ann Sullivan has worked to improve public education for more than thirty years. She recently served as an at-large commissioner and president of the IPS school board. Her experiences there led her to become a mentor and coach for school board members from other cities interested in transforming districts by disrupting inequitable policies and practices to improve student outcomes

Previously, she worked as a consultant with the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL) at the University of Indianapolis, where she helped school leaders develop and start new small schools.

Mary Ann has a background in both charter and district-run schools. Early in her career, she supported gifted and talented educators through a state-wide curriculum resource center. Later, she was part of the administrative team at an IPS middle school. Her professional experiences, coupled with her personal advocacy as an IPS parent, prompted her to devote her career to improving public education.

In 2008, Mary Ann was elected to the Indiana General Assembly and served two terms. Her legislative advocacy primarily focused on neighborhood, environmental, and education issues.

Mary Ann has a master’s degree in public affairs from Indiana University. She and her husband, Brian, are lifelong Indianapolis residents, and passionate advocates for their city.

Elizabeth Vincent

After six years as in-house counsel at two major technology companies, Elizabeth Vincent saw a need for affordable legal services for startups, scale-ups, and small businesses that would help them become players in the large commercial market. She also saw a need for assistance in finding and implementing technology to transform legal departments, law firms, and small businesses to help them operate efficiently and effectively to save time and money.

Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication at Anderson University before attending law school at IU’s Robert H. Mckinney School of Law. Elizabeth is detail-oriented, thorough. and planful in her actions. While Elizabeth is task-oriented and success-oriented, she doesn’t lose sight of the people aspect in any of her work and makes sure that people feel valued, get the feedback they need to be successful and understand their role in any organization – valuable qualities to add to the eclectic discourse of our board of directors.

Elizabeth brings a lot of energy and community experience to the ProAct board of directors and her input will be valuable as we seek to strengthen and expand our programs and services to best meet the needs of our community.

Help us welcome these dynamic women to our team! We look forward to their contributions to our mission and vision.
